Nice atmosphere in summer under the chestnut trees and friendly service. The food is good, down-to-earth German cuisine.

Average food, great location

Delicious roast pork eaten at the Lämmle and can really recommend the restaurant. It was delicious and the service was very friendly.

Very excellent food at fair prices. If I could I would give 10 stars. And really great service with super nice conditions. I always like to come back to eat when I'm in Würzburg. ???

Cozy inn with super delicious food. We were there at lunchtime, it was well filled and we had to wait a little while to get a seat, but that was also handled very professionally. The great thing was the excellent and super friendly service! Thanks again to the nice blonde lady with the "glitter socks", who was so nice and friendly to us! You are the sunshine of the restaurant :)

Nice cozy restaurant, staff is very dedicated and attentive. We were there with a wheelchair user. Space was quickly made up so that we got to the table. The food was plentiful and very tasty, we felt very comfortable.

We were in Würzburg for 4 days and had dinner twice in the Lämmle. We didn't have to wait long, we always got a seat. We enjoyed the food very much. We were very satisfied. We particularly liked the large beer garden.

Good middle-class restaurant with a beautiful beer garden right by the Marienkapelle. Food very tasty and good service. Gladly again!

Unfortunately I can only rate the lady who served us. We chose a table on the edge to keep an eye on our bikes. There was no way to park the bikes in the immediate vicinity without a lock. There was no blockage from the wheels. Even the smallest wishes could not be met. => we left. The other guests were obviously our opinion. We could clearly determine this through the smile and a little conversation.

Disastrous service. The drinks were served incorrectly three times. After more than 1 hour we got the message that our food was forgotten to give up. Zero goodwill shown for it. Once and never again!!!

A restaurant in the center of Würzburg has many outdoor tables so, despite being full, the waiting times to sit down were really short. We took a typical dish, which was the pork shoulder, and a cutlet. The shoulder was really good while the cutlet was a little hard and was covered with a pepper sauce with a very intense flavor that was not so pleasant. The bill is good, around € 38. The service is a little inattentive, few waiters for many people.

The food is very good, although the portions could be a little bigger. But in any case, 1-2 wait staff would do more well, then there would be a more cozy atmosphere - the way it is right now comes a lot of hectic and stress. That doesn't exactly invite you to linger and relax ...

Good authentic local food at very reasonable price.

The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere outside is nice and you can sit comfortably. Prices are reasonable. It is best to arrive before 6pm according to the staff, otherwise long waiting times can occur without a reservation.

Nice service. Delicious pilsner. Food enough for a normally hungry German citizen and very tasty! Game types times are strictly adhered to. Fast service. We'd love to come back :)

Very Franconian, very tasty, for us and also for locals. A Schäufele here is in a completely different class than its Baden counterpart. Great!

Friendly but hectic staff. An order was misunderstood but made up for by an espresso. The fish was not seasoned and was fried too long. The cucumber salad was too sour. The schnitzel as well as the fried potatoes were good.

Exemplary organization during Corona, great service and delicious food !! The beer and drink prices are generally very expensive, but the food is much cheaper. Still gladly again! ?

Well, it’s maybe a bit unfair to review this restaurant even we didn’t eat there but we could have. We wanted to find a nice place to and then eat something. It was about 5.30 pm , too early for us to eat. We found this restaurant seems nice with tables nicely under the shade of the trees. We stood there waited to be seated, watching the waitresses chatted with each other ignoring us at all. After a while, she seemed to “finally “ noticed us. She asked, if we want to just drink or eat and for a drink, she only has a table for only 30 minutes. Well, that didn’t sound bad but the way she talked to us, it made us feel like we would beg her for anything. No idea, if we look like we wouldn’t have money to pay or alcoholic or because of I’m asian, we would never know. I and my husband, we speak German, so absolutely no idea , why she treated us like that.

An authentic German restaurant that is true to German food and beer. On the menu are several Franken specialties in wine, beer and not least food. Unfortunately, the place bears a bit of a tourist trap as despite friendly service, the focus is on getting as many guests through the place as possible.

Very nice service, fair prices, good drinks (unfortunately we were not hungry and therefore could not try the food. The plates at the neighboring tables looked good and smelled delicious). A shady spot with a beautiful ambience right in the heart of Würzburg. Recommendable

EN/DE/FR In the midst of the Corona crisis (July 2020) we were asked to sit at a 4-seat table already occupied by a couple that we didn't know. It was a small table outside, not that big a size that we would be at an acceptable distance of said couple. Usually I would not be against this, but given the circumstances we kindly declined and were frowned upon by the rather impatient waiter. When another couple accepted to be seated at this table, the couple that already occupied the table (i.e. paying customers) were not asked and did not seem comfortable at all with the situation. I can't give a review on the quality of the food -we decided to leave- but I found this behaviour unsafe and unacceptable, both towards us but even more so towards the already seated customers. Mitten in der Coronakrise wurden wir in diesem Restaurant gebeten uns an einen bereits besetzten Tisch zu einem uns fremden Paar dazuzusetzen. Der Tisch war zwar draußen, allerdings doch so klein, dass man keine 1,5m Abstand hätte wahren können. Normalerweise würde mir das überhaupt nichts ausmachen aber in der derzeitigen Situation haben wir freundlich abgelehnt und das wartende Paar hinter uns vorgelassen. Der eher ungeduldige Kellner hat uns nicht zu übersehen belächelt. Das bereits am Tisch sitzenden Paar (zahlende Kunden...) wurde erst gar nicht nach seiner Meinung gefragt, es sah nicht so aus als wäre ihnen die Situation sehr angenehm. Ich kann das Essen in dem Lokal nicht bewerten (wir sind dann weiter gegangen) aber dieses Verhalten kommt mir absolut inakzeptabel vor - uns gegenüber, aber vor Allem den bereits dort sitzenden Kunden gegenüber. En pleine crise covid19, nous avons été priés de nous asseoir aux cotés d'un autre couple de clients déjà installés à une petite table de quatre. La table était en terrasse, cependant était bien trop petite pour pouvoir respecter des distances de 1m (sans parler des 1,5m recommendés). En temps normal, cela ne nous aurait posé aucun problème, mais nous avons bien sûr poliment décliné et rappelé que cela n'était pas des plus appropriés. Un autre couple aussi impatient que le serveur s'est empressé d'accepter, au grand dam du couple de clients déjà installés à cette table, laissé blême et impuissant face à la situation. Je ne peux pas juger de la cuisine, mais ce comportement me semble inacceptable, pour tous les clients impliqués (d'où ma diatribe)!

The waitress was polite but not very attentive. The meal from me and my companion tasted like konvinience food. Sorry but there are better places in Würzburg to eat real German homemade food.

They were received by the owner himself at the entrance to the beer garden on a Saturday at 6 p.m. Unfortunately, despite numerous vacancies, which were not all reserved, we were rejected because we only wanted to have a quick drink, but it was time for lunch. A host who is not familiar with the Bavarian beer garden culture should not lead one. Really unfortunate. Will in future avoid a wide circle around this restaurant and the sting run by the same host.

It was our second time here and there will be a few more visits this year. Seldom eaten a better rump steak in Würzburg! Perfect under the chestnuts in summer - but the real highlight was our waiter. Super accommodating and friendly. Alone reason to come back.

Very expensive, not so friendly staff, good location, nice place

The first time but not the last. A very nice restaurant, almost always full, the people come and go constantly, and that means that this is a good place. They also have a small variety of wines, I tried Bacchus white and it was delicious. I only can recomend this place.

The food was prepared and tasted like homemade. This was the local venue and atmosphere we wanted to experience

4 stars for good german cousine - very taste, fresh, big portions. But -1 star for unkind average service. Note, that there are no WiFi here.

The service and the food was good. Great outdoor atmosphere just off market square. Local enough that we stood out a little trying to order in English, but they were welcoming. Great experience.

Nice food, VERY big size of the meal (it's possible to pack it if not finished). The downside - they are very busy in the evening so it's necessary to wait for your food, drink, bill, etc.
